The new East Campus will be located on the 8.1-acre parcel of land that is located across from the central campus on the corner of Nebraska and New Mexico Avenues.  Currently a 900-space parking lot, the East Campus will comprise six buildings that will total 410,000 square feet.  Three residence halls will be home to 590 students and will feature double rooms, each with a bathroom.  Two of the buildings will accommodate administrative offices and instructional space.  A third building, to be located at the intersection of Nebraska and New Mexico Avenues, will serve as a Welcome Center.  There will be underground parking for approximately 250 vehicles, and surface parking with an additional 200 spaces on the northern part of the East Campus, along Massachusetts Avenue adjacent to Ward Circle.  Groundbreaking for the East Campus complex is scheduled for the summer of 2014 with completion targeted for summer, 2016.
