Below is the internal calendar made available for your collaborative use. By default, the calendar below includes the following information: Kogod Emails, Kogod Events, Major University Events, and Ranking & Profiles. To turn off a certain calendar, click on the drop-down arrow next to "Agenda" and de-select your choice. To add/edit an event, see the instructions below the calendar.
To add an event:
Click the "+ Google" icon at the bottom of the calendar.
In the new window that opens, if you have an account, sign in; if you do not have an account, click "Create an account" (you can use your @american.edu address).
To create an account, fill out the required information and click "I accept." Check your current email account for a verification email. In the verification email, click the link to verify your new Google Account.
Once you are signed into Google Calendar, a pop-up box will ask you to select or "Add All" those Kogod calendars you would like to view. Do so. These calendars will show up under "Other calendars."
To request access to edit the calendar, please fill out your name and Google email address below and press "Submit." You will generally be granted access within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays.
Finally, to add an event to a calendar, click the arrow next to the calendar name and click "Create Event on this calendar." See picture.
From there, just enter the name of the event, time, date, and any other info. Click "Save."
Your new event will display on the calendar when you refresh the page!
