This private insurance program enhances American University's published refund policy, helping minimize financial losses should students suffer serious illness or an accident that results in withdrawal from AU before the semester is completed. The insurance plan is elective and covers 75% of tuition and room charges.

An application must be completed and submitted before the first day of classes.
