Janet Nagler has been an Academic Counselor at American University since 1981, when she began advising adult and nondegree students, both graduate and undergraduate in the (former) Continuing Education Advising Center. In 2000 she transferred to the College of Arts & Sciences, where she advised adult, undergraduate students as well as freshman and sophomore degree students. She has been an Academic Counselor in the Department of Public Administration and Policy since 2001. She has been an active member and past president of the Experiential Learning Assessment Network (ELAN). In DPAP she advises MPA students, as well as students in the JD/MPA, JD/MPP, LLM/MPA and LLM/MPP programs, and coordinates and advises for the Hertie School exchange program in Berlin.
