Outstanding Student Scholars Honored

This year, three of four winners of the 2010 University Student Award for Outstanding Scholarship hail from the College of Arts and Sciences. Sonia Tabriz, BA psychology and law & society '10, and William Flynn, BS physics and math '10, received both undergraduate level awards, and Chesley J. Christensen, PhD psychology '09, received one of two graduate level awards.

The winners will be formally recognized at the University Student Achievement Awards ceremony on Friday, May 7, and at the College of Arts and Sciences commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 9.

The Office of the Provost presents University Student Awards for Outstanding Scholarship annually to four graduating students. The award reflects exemplary scholarship demonstrated by a student's publications, distinguished research, creative work, and conference presentations.
