Bio
Shinhye Lee is an instructor of the Korean Program in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at American University, where she teaches courses on Elementary Korean I & II in Fall and Spring semester.

She has been working on a research about North Korean defectors' cross-cultural experiences and sociocultural issues.
She has pesented seminars on Climate Change impacts on North Korean women trafficking issues and workshops on online teaching methods utilizing authentic media materials.
She has a MA in international relations from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
