Natalie Rusch Director of Clinical Services Department of Psychology

Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, American University

Dr. Natalie Rusch is a licensed psychologist in the District of Columbia. She serves as the Associate Director for Training at the American University Counseling Center where she provides individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach/consultation services to the AU community. She also oversees the center's training program, including the APA-accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology. Prior to joining the Counseling Center staff in May 2016, Dr. Rusch worked as a Staff Clinician in a college counseling center in Madison, WI. Her areas of clinical interest include: integrative psychotherapy (person-centered, interpersonal, psychodynamic, multicultural, and emotion-focused approaches), grief and loss issues, trauma and recovery, family of origin concerns, body-focused repetitive behaviors, substance use issues, and clinical supervision and training.
