The Cyrus A. Ansary medal was presented to Lonnie G. Bunch III, CAS/BA ’74, CAS/MA ’76, during the 2020 President’s Circle Celebration on Tuesday, October 27. President Sylvia Burwell and Secretary Bunch discussed his experience building the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the social justice role of museums, the future of the Smithsonian, and leadership during challenging times.
