Washington, D.C. – (March 12, 2020) Important Event Update - In light of American University’s announcement today that university-sponsored public events will be canceled through May 5th as part of the university’s response to the COVID-19 situation, the Affordable Care Act panel discussion featuring former President Barack Obama, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, American University President Sylvia M. Burwell, and Protect Our Care will be shifted to an exclusively livestreamed event.  
 
There will not be an audience in the room for this event. This discussion will be livestreamed beginning at 12:30PM on March 23rd at www.american.edu/aca10.  
 
Media who RSVP by the deadline of Monday, March 16 at noon will be contacted about their status for attendance and we ask that you quickly let us know at aumedia@american.edu if you make a decision not to attend. As we previously indicated, space for media to cover this event in person is limited.
