Coming Soon: Experience AU’s Future Student Information System
The American University community is invited to a hands-on preview of Workday Student, AU’s new all-in-one student information system that Eagles will soon use to register for classes, track degree progress, and access essential services.
On October 20–22, campus leaders will host Mock Semester, an open house-style event in Bender Library where students, faculty, and staff can experience Workday Student for the first time.
Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, the event invites attendees to drop by for refreshments, guided walkthroughs, and hands-on scenarios using the platform.
The Mock Semester Team will also have a presence on the quad at Thank Clawed It's Wednesday on October 21 to share more about Workday Student. Each day, walk-ins to the Mock Semester are welcome.
“This transformation is about more than implementing a new system,” said Erika Ogedegbe, OIT’s lead IT executive on the Workday Student project. “It’s about creating a more connected American University, where students, faculty, and staff can engage with information and services more seamlessly, collaborate more effectively, and focus more of their time on teaching, learning, research, and student success.”
Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to start familiarizing themselves with Workday Student ahead of fall 2027 registration, which opens in March. By fall 2027, the unified cloud-based platform will officially replace Eagle Service, Colleague, and CRM Advise—becoming the single hub supporting Eagles throughout their AU journey.

Nominate a Student Ambassador
The project team is seeking first-year, sophomore, and junior students from all majors to join the Workday Student Ambassador Program. Ambassadors will provide critical feedback on the student experience and help guide their peers through the transition.
