Who is One Card & Dining Services?

One Card & Dining Services supports American University's Meal Plan Administration, One Card production & basic access, and university vending contracts under the Department of Auxiliary Services.

Announcements & Important Dates

  • Beginning Monday, March 30th One Card & Dining Services main office hours will be Tuesdays between 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. by appointment only. Please email onecard_dining@american.edu with the Subject: APPOINTMENT to schedule an appointment.
  • One Card & Dining Services will be available remotely 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday via our virtual forms of communication and specifically, JustAsk: justask.american.edu
  • Friday, July 31st at 11:59 p.m. EST Online Photo Submission for incoming student One Cards must be submitted.
  • UPDATE Fall 2020 Meal Plan Portal: The Meal Plan Portal will open immediately following the finalization of housing assignments. 1st-year residential students will be automatically defualted to the 175 Block Meal Plan. 2nd-year residential students will be automatically defaulted to the 100 Block Meal Plan. Apartment Residential Students (McDowell Hall Apartments, Nebraska Hall and the Frequency Apartments) will not be required to hold a meal plan.

AU Dining Hours of Operation

Dining Services have concluded for the Spring Semester. There will be no locations open for the summer. EagleBucks are available for your enjoyment throughout the summer. For a list of merchants currently open, please visit the EagleBucks website.

We will continue to provide dining services updates on a regular basis.

Academic Year Meal Plan Timeline

  • Sunday, August 16, 2020 Fall 2020 Meal Plan begins with limited retail locations open
  • Wednesday, November 25, 2020 Fall 2020 Meal Plan ends following lunch

Need to report a problem or concern with dining services? Here’s how to do it:

  • Type any question into the Just Ask field

  • This will pull up the Just Ask site. Look at the upper left corner and click on Create Case. (Tip: If you’re not logged in, it will ask you to log in; at that point, click again on Create Case)

  • Fill in the fields and submit

  • You’ll receive an email with a case number. The One Card & Dining Service Office will reply within one business day.
