Bio
Amilcar Guzman, Ph.D., serves as an Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at the American University College of Education. He teaches courses focused on current issues in education and the Economics of Education.

Dr. Guzmán also serves a Program Officer at the J.B. and M.K. Pritzker Family Foundation. In this role he manages a portfolio of national and state investments focused on advancing Prenatal to 3 initiatives that will allow children to thrive at age 3. Prior to his time at the Pritzker Family Foundation, Dr. Guzmán served in a variety of education policy and research roles in the Washington D.C. area.

Dr. Guzmán is deeply committed to public service. He has given countless presentations to key stakeholders on the importance of higher education, served as a Board Member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute an Associate Member of the Latin American Youth Center and as member of New Leaders Council, DC. His research and writing have been featured in Inside Higher Ed, Journal of Latinos in Education, Harvard Journal of Hispanic Policy, About Campus, Latino Rebels and more.
