Bio
Erin Saunders is the Assistant Director of the Student-Athlete Support Program. A major focus of her role is to provide academic support to the Women's Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams. Additionally, she is responsible for researching and advancing academic support services and overseeing all academic services for student-athletes. Erin started at American University in October 2016 after serving as an Athletic Mentor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania during the 2015-16 academic year. While working with the student-athletes and earning her M.S. in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs from WCU, Erin worked in secondary education at a non-profit organization in Philadelphia, PA. Erin graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science/Sports Management in 2010 from Rutgers University, where she was a member and 3-time diving captain of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team.
