Laura Garner joined American University in 2013 as associate director of content strategy, where she leads the editorial team that produces the university’s flagship publication, American magazine; the university annual report; and other print and digital marketing communications collateral that support the AU brand. She has more than 25 years of brand management and marketing communications experience, leading initiatives for Home Builders Institute, National 4-H Council, Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh, and the National Technology Transfer Center at Wheeling Jesuit University. She's been telling great stories since she started her career as a reporter and copy editor at the Wheeling News Register in Wheeling, WV.
