Joep C. de Jong is an experienced international OD scholar-practitioner. He is currently Founder, Managing Director and principal shareholder of JLS International BV, an organization that provides high end training and consulting on strategy and change management to organizations in various industries around the globe. In previous years he worked for Apple Computer and at British Telecom, Global Services group where he was the Director of Learning Solutions. His most recent publication is titled Handboek Appreciative Inquiry, a management handbook in Dutch. Amongst others he is a Member of the Council for the European Begeistring Network, which focuses on strength based organizational development. He is also an associate of the TAOS Institute and a member of the Advisory Board of IDEIA, a Spanish organization focusing on Appreciative Inquiry (AI). Using AI in the day-to-day business as a consultant, manager and leader he is particularly interested in what creates the success of an ‘Appreciative Leader’, the topic of his PhD research.
