Julie Jones

Assistant Director, Employer Relations
Career Center

  • Julie and her team are responsible for employer services at the Career Center. Her staff helps facilitate connections between students and employers through campus recruiting activities, such as on-campus interviews, job and internship fairs, and AU CareerWeb listings. Julie engages new employers and builds partnerships with organizations of particular interest to AU students and alumni. Julie joined the Career Center in September 2011 and brings nearly four years of experience in employer relations. Before coming to AU, she worked as the assistant director of employer partnerships at The George Washington University (GW) where she managed recruiting programs for the university. Prior to GW, Julie was a career counselor and internship coordinator at the Joseph Meyerhoff Center for Career Development at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. Julie was born in California, but grew up in northern VA and loves the east coast and the DC metro area. She enjoys the performing and visual arts, cooking, literature, tennis, and politics. She also makes sure to get back to her roots in California regularly.
