Elizabeth is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and Washington, D.C. native. She began her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse at Washington Hospital Center in 2002. Since completing her NP training in 2008, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including college health, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. Before joining American University in April 2014, she practiced at George Washington University Student Health Center, University of Maryland Medical Center Emergency Department in Baltimore, and at Holy Cross Hospital Health Center in Silver Spring, providing primary care for uninsured patients with complex medical needs.
