Bio
Michael joined the Academic Support and Access Center in June of 2018. As Coordinator of Academic Support, he provides academic support through the facilitation of workshops and one-on-one academic. Prior to AU, Michael worked at Babson College as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement, at the University of Hartford as a Coordinator in Student Activities & Greek Life and as an Academic Coach in the Learning Center at Central CT State University. He also worked as a special education teacher prior to transitioning into higher education. As both a first-generation American and first-generation low-income college grad, Michael is passionate about supporting other low-income and first-generation college students. He stands firm in the belief that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” -Nelson Mandela
