Mary Beth Hart serves as Graduate Assistant in the Kogod Center for Career Development and the Office of Student Activities. Splitting her time between both departments, Mary Beth provides career advisement for undergraduate students at KCCD and programming assistance to student-led organizations within the Office of Student Activities.
Prior to beginning at American University, Mary Beth worked as a corporate government affairs representative for the DuPont Company. In her role she monitored and lobbied corporate policy issues and developed employee outreach programs including grassroots get-out-the-vote campaigns and Political Action Committee initiatives and fundraisers.
Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University, Mary Beth has had a longtime interest in Student Affairs. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, MN and is originally from Ankeny, IA.
