Bio
Dr. Ka Yan Danise Mok is a staff clinician at the AU Counseling Center where she provides a variety of services including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach services. Prior to joining AU, Dr. Mok completed her post-doctorate fellowship and APA accredited internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Her primary therapy approach is from an integration of interpersonal, feminist, and acceptance and commitment therapies. Dr. Mok’s special interests include multicultural counseling, trauma treatment and empowerment, LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, gender identities exploration and transition, first generation/low income students, immigrant/international students, faith crisis/transition, and social justice/activism.
