Bio
Dr. Ka Yan Danise Mok is a licensed psychologist at the AU Counseling Center where they provide a variety of services including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach services. Prior to joining AU, Dr. Mok completed their post-doctorate fellowship and APA accredited internship at the University of Pennsylvania Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Their primary therapy approach is from an integration of interpersonal, feminist, and acceptance and commitment therapies.




Dr. Mok’s special interests include multicultural counseling, trauma treatment and empowerment, LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, gender identities exploration and transition, first generation/low-income students, immigrant/international students, faith crisis/transition, chronic health conditions/pain, political/cultural/collective trauma, neurodiversity (overexcitability, autism, ADHD, giftedness, twice-exceptional), and social justice/activism.
