Priya Bansal is a doctoral intern at the AU Center for Well-Being and is completing her PhD in counseling psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds an M.A. in counseling psychology from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
Priya identifies as a second-generation Indian American, bisexual, cisgender woman and is bilingual (Hindi and English). Her clinical interests include radical healing practices and psychotherapy using non-Eurocentric frameworks. Understanding how culture and social identities shape life experiences forms a basis for her work. When she is not working or dissertating, Priya can usually be found with a book, a paintbrush, a spatula, or her dog's leash in hand.
