Bio
Quin serves as the Associate Director for Student Equity, Access, and Retention at American University, where she leads initiatives focused on supporting multiracial and multiethnic students. She also advances student-centered strategies that promote community-building, equity, access, and retention for underrepresented and vulnerable student populations. In addition, Quin provides leadership to the teams supporting the STEP and District Scholars cohorts.

With over a decade of experience in Housing and Residential Life at a variety of institutions, including land-grant universities, religiously affiliated institutions, Ivy League schools, state systems, and private universities, Quin has built a career centered on fostering inclusive, supportive, and equity-driven environments. Her work has spanned areas such as Student Conduct and Community Standards, Title IX, Facilities Management, and mental and physical health support, always with an emphasis on creating accessible and just systems for students.

As a strategic and visionary leader, Quin has also driven efforts to reimagine ethical hiring, onboarding, and professional development practices within student affairs. She is known for her innovative, big-picture thinking, and for grounding her work in historical and systemic contexts to achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of her professional role, Quin is an avid outdoors enthusiast with interests in hiking, camping, and skydiving. She also enjoys cycling, curating her extensive vinyl record collection, reading, and spending time with her beloved tabby cat, Oliver.
