Bio
Steven Crudele (he/him/his) holds a Bachelor of Science in History Secondary Education from Towson University and a Master of Science in Higher Education, Student Affairs from Florida State University. Currently, he serves as a First Year Advisor and AUx Instructor at American University. Prior to this position, Steven was the Staff Assistant with University College, a first-year living learning community at AU. Before starting at AU, Steven worked for three years at Texas A&M University in the Department of Student Activities where he coordinated organizational development efforts for student organizations and advised a country western exhibition dance team.


Steven has experience teaching social studies in secondary schools and leadership studies courses to undergraduate students and facilitating workshops on allyship in the LGBTQIA+ community, accountability, academic success, time management, communication and conflict management, decision making and delegation, and goal setting, among other topics. Steven is passionate about helping students with goal setting, academic success, and organizational skills. In his spare time, Steven enjoys exploring DC, volunteers at a local museum, and follows current events and politics.
