- Teresa Valais designs learning blueprints for asynchronous and hybrid learning. She brings expertise in learning theory, instructional design, online facilitation, and faculty development to her work for the School of Communication, online Master of Arts in Strategic Communication program. In her role, she applies expert knowledge of universal design, adult learning principles and instructional design life cycle to lead and manage new course design and development project scope. Teresa partners with vendors, faculty and industry subject matter experts to develop online interactive learning content. She oversees quality processes to ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality courses through the application of best practices using Quality Matters standards. Teresa's background includes designing and facilitating leadership development workshop training, train-the-trainer web-based training courses, web-based informational meetings, and one-on-one coaching. She has worked in U.S. Department of State and American Councils for International Education grant funded educational and cultural programs, and other agency professional development training programs for foreign nationals.
