Kogod Decision Criteria: Location — Located in the Nation’s Capital. AU is also located in one of the best neighborhoods in D.C.

Reputation and Academic Programs — After searching around and asking friends from D.C. I learned that Kogod is a top business school and highly regarded in D.C. AU is a great University with excellent ranking and academic programs.

Other -- Kogod was the first admissions offer I received with a scholarship when I was applying to graduate schools. As an international student who is not qualified for many of scholarships here in the U.S, I was really pleased with how generous Kogod was. The admission team was great, and answered a lot of my concerns which makes me believe AU is a right place for me.

What I Value About Kogod: Faculty— All of my professors are really knowledgeable and conscientious. Most of them have several years of real-world work experience, which offers more than what one can find in a textbook. They also care about students and their doors are always open for the students who need their helps.

Career development—In my master program, there are a lot of class options to suit your needs of your career plan, such as to offer tax or forensic accounting certification or some classes which would benefit you to pass the CPA exam. Other than that, Kogod also has their own career center where is extremely helpful to give students professional suggestions before job fair.

Others—The small size of classes would offer more opportunities to let you, your professors and classmates to know each other in a short time.
