Andrew LaRose, from Sarasota, FL, is a Graduate Student Assistant at the Justice Programs Office. He is currently a second-year Master of Science candidate in the Justice, Law, & Society program at American University. Before moving to Washington, D.C., Andrew spent the past four years studying Criminology at the University of South Florida (Tampa), where he eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also spent time working as a Resident Assistant, interning with the U.S. Secret Service, and volunteering as a board member with Hillsborough County’s Juvenile Diversionary Program. In his short amount of free time, Andrew likes to cycle, kayak, go to the movies, bargain shop, and travel. He's also an avid NFL and college football spectator.
