Originally from California, where he earned is bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California Santa Barbara (Go Gauchos!). Blake joined the American University staff in the Summer of 2014. Prior to joining he was working as a middle school social studies teacher at a public charter school in the D.C. area. He spent three years living and teaching abroad at international schools in Vietnam and Colombia. Blake is currently pursuing a degree in international peace and conflict resolution from SIS at American University. He is excited to be a part of such a diverse organization committed to social responsibility, service, and an environmentally sustainable future.
