In his position as a Systems Administrator, Ben is responsible for helping to keep American University's e-mail and backup systems running smoothly, and for maintaining the university's spam filtration software. Ben joined AU in 2004 as a member of the IT Help Desk, where he provided user support to students, faculty, and staff in every aspect of computer use. In 2006, Ben decided to transfer his considerable technical expertise and excellent customer service skills to the Systems Engineering Services team. In addition to his core functions, Ben routinely undertakes special projects; currently he is focused on implementing the LANDesk endpoint management system, which will allow IT to provide even more outstanding service to the AU community.
