Bio
Jane is PhD candidate in the School of Communication. She is completing her dissertation on emotional expression within the #BlackLivesMatter and Second Amendment movements on Twitter. Her research interests focus on digital activism, social media, and depictions of populism in the media. She works primarily with computational methods, including text as data and network analysis. Before entering the PhD program Jane worked in digital marketing, running campaigns for global clients. She enjoys sharing her insights about how to create effective communication strategies with BA and MA students.
