I am a national of the Dominican Republic currently pursuing my PhD in Economics. Before coming to AU I obtained a BA in Economics in my home country, an MA in Applied Macroeconomics with a focus in Latin America from the Catholic University of Chile, and an MA in Economics from Georgetown University. I also worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the Ministries of Economy and Pensions of the Dominican Republic and the Catholic University of Santo Domingo. My research interests are focused on growth, development, natural disasters and policy reform. I currently work as a trainer and consultant for the Social Science Research Lab of the University and as an Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Economics.
