Bio
Sara became American University’s Green Office Coordinator in August of 2012. Through this position she helps green over 30 American University offices with more than 600 staff and faculty members. Upon graduating in December she took on an additional role as a Research Assistant for AU’s Sustainability Tracking Assessment Rating System (STARS). Sara collects data and creates documentation for the upcoming submission of this report.
Prior to these positions, Sara worked with Facilities Management as a Green Office Intern where she helped implement Green Office program initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from AU. Currently she is pursuing accreditation as a LEED Green Associate and auditing an Environmental Field Methods course at AU. In the future Sara plans to pursue a graduate degree in Water Resources Management.
