Amélie Jaques-Apke is a Visiting Scholar and doctoral researcher focusing on democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and security and foreign affairs. Her current research project and forthcoming book examine the politicization of the COVID-19 crisis in the Americas and Europe. She is also the founder and CEO of the think tank Young Security Conference.

As a political scientist and advisor, Amélie has over five years of international experience across Europe and the Americas. Her areas of expertise include EU studies and Latin American politics. She has conducted extensive research and project work in dozens of countries in the EU, Latin America, North Africa and the US.
