Bio
Lindsay acts as the Manager of Sustainability at AU. Previously, Lindsay worked for the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as a Projects Officer in their Sustainable Energy/Water group. In addition to her work at AU, Lindsay continues to consult for IFC and, since 2007, has worked on Lighting Africa - an initiative aimed at supporting market development for modern off-grid lighting technologies in Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank Group, Lindsay worked as a photovoltaic technician installing residential solar electric and solar hot water systems in VT. Lindsay holds dual Master’s degrees in Natural Resources & Sustainable Development and International Affairs and is completing an applied engineering certificate in Renewable Energy Technologies. Her graduate research focused on off-grid lighting applications in Nicaragua powered by photovoltaic panels or other off-grid charging methods, and her direct experience designing and deploying appropriately adapted technologies to the developing world. Outside of work, Lindsay is likely to be found running marathons, bicycling, playing music, or in her garden.
