Bio
Sara Barger is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in Washington, DC. She has traveled the world producing content for the U.S. State Department, USAID, Discovery Channel, and various think tanks, non-profits, and government agencies. Her thesis film "Little but Fierce" was nominated for a 2020 Student Academy Award. Sara is currently the Executive Vice President for Women in Film and Video, where she organizes a monthly screening series. Sara is 2020 grant recipient from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and was a 2019 Docs in Progress Fellow. She previously taught filmmaking at Old Dominion University and George Washington University. She currently also teaches at George Mason University.
