Bio
Professor of Politics at IES Abroad Rome, where he teaches classes on Machiavelli and Political Theory and on Italian and European Politics. Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Lecturer of Politics at USI (Università della Svizzera italiana) in Switzerland. He has a PhD in Political Science and he also works as Adjunct Professor of Methodology of Social Sciences at LUISS Guido Carli (Rome). His research is grounded in political philosophy, political science, public affairs and open government. Chief coordinator of an international comparative research project on lobbying in EU Member States (www.lobbyingineurope.com), which recently resulted in the volume Lobbying in Europe. Public Affairs and the Lobbying Industry in 28 EU Countries (Palgrave Macmillan 2017). Trying to bridge the gap between academic research and policy action, he provides advice to a variety of NGOs and governments, and works with various organizations promoting open government, transparency and innovation in the political world.
