Daniel Steiman is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Government, with concentrations in Comparative Politics and International Relations. His interests include political violence and civil wars, with a regional focus on African politics, particularly South Africa. His dissertation is on the spatial and temporal variation in violence during Apartheid in South Africa in the 1980s and 1990s, with a focus on the actions and behavior of ant-apartheid militant groups.
