Bio
An interest in the environment—its conservation and management—is the foundation for Professor Lieber’s teaching and research. He specializes in environmental management, planning and policy as well as public law and regulation. He has published a book entitled Federalism and Clean Water: The 1972 Water Pollution Control Act and has received a number of grants to study water pollution and water resources management. He has also testified before the Senate Committee on Public Works regarding air and water pollution and served as executive secretary of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator’s Toxic Substances Control Advisory Committee. He is currently the internship director for the public administration department, advising students on a variety of career opportunities including the prestigious Presidential Management Fellows Program.
