American University letterhead

December 12, 2024

Dear Eagles:

The Deese-Knight Family Delta Gamma Endowed Lectureship in Values and Ethics is a prestigious annual lectureship that brings distinguished speakers to American University. Its purpose is to inspire and educate students about the significance of ethical decision-making, integrity, and the pursuit of personal and professional excellence. By highlighting the critical role of leadership and community engagement, the Lectureship fosters a deeper understanding of how ethical conduct can positively influence both individual lives and the broader society.

This Lectureship is the result of a collaborative partnership between the Beta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity, the Division of Student Affairs, and University Advancement. Together, these groups work to ensure the program not only enriches the intellectual and moral development of AU students but also strengthens the university's commitment to cultivating a culture of values-driven leadership and active citizenship.

The Deese-Knight Family Delta Gamma Endowed Lectureship Steering Committee is planning for our next event, and we want your input. Share your ideas for impactful speakers you'd like to see at AU by submitting your nomination here by January 10, 2025.

Go Eagles!
