Oklahoma

Oklahoma is a 2-day exam with sixteen 30-minute Oklahoma Essay Exam questions and 200 multiple-choice Multistate Bar Exam questions.

MBE Subjects: Constitutional Law, Contracts/Sales, Criminal Law/Procedure, Evidence, Federal Civil Procedure, Real Property, Torts.

Oklahoma Essay Subjects: Administrative Law, Business Associations (Agency, Corporations, Joint Ventures, Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships), Commercial Law (Bankruptcy, Consumer Law, Contracts, Creditors’ Rights, Uniform Commercial Code), Conflict of Laws, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Family Law, Intestate Succession (Estate Planning, Trusts, Wills, including Federal and Estate and Gift Taxation,) OK Rules of Professional Conduct, Procedural Law (Pleadings, Practice), Property, Remedies (Damages, Equity, Restitution), Torts.

MPRE: A scaled score of 75 is required for admission.

Scoring: The MBE and essay scores are combined in order to determine if examinee has achieved a passing score of 75% overall. A passing score of the combined essay and Oklahoma Multistate scores is 2400 points. For the essay portion of the exam, 1200 points is considered passing. The Oklahoma Multistate Score is computed from the MBE scaled score. An MBE scaled score of 135 equals 1200 points for Oklahoma scoring purposes.

Filing Deadlines: The deadline for applying to the February 2020 Bar Exam is September 1; late applications accepted until October 1; extend late applications accepted until November 1. The deadline for applying to the July 2020 Bar Exam is February 1; late applications accepted until March 1; extended late applications accepted until April 1. Law student registration is required.
