Aneeta Mathur-Ashton

Aneeta Mathur-Ashton is PIJIP's Communications and Media Fellow for the 2021-2022 academic work. She works with the team to conduct research, manages the program's social media, and writes articles on what the program is doing. 

She is a current graduate student at American University's School of Communication earning a Master's in international journalism. She graduated with honors from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism in 2021. 

She is also a fellow at the Investigative Reporting Workshop where she is working to cover the evolving situation in Afghanistan and the Taliban. 

She is also a member of the Washington Post practicum as a student reporter.

Professor Michael Carroll Published New Paper "The Triumph of Three Big Ideas in Fair Use Jurisprudence"

Professors Carroll and Peter Jaszi, published a new paper, The Triumph of Three Big Ideas in Fair Use Jurisprudence.  The article, published in the Tulane Law Review, argues that the Court’s decisions on fair use, which represent one-third of the Court’s total merits decisions, are historic.
