, The Gianni Lounge (Mary Graydon Conference Room 200)

Updated 9/29/09

Are you a current student or graduate from American University's School of Communication who's interested in freelancing or starting your own business? Are you exploring alternative employment opportunities because full-time communication positions seem scarce?

SOC students and alumni are invited to participate in a brown bag lunch discussion to learn how fellow alumni and other prominent figures have successfully created niches through networking, job search strategies, and the use of social networking sites. Panelists include:

- Greg Smith: SOC alumnus and co-founder of LoudMouth Communications & Design
- Cynthia Washington: president and CEO of Washington Concepts, Inc. (WCI)
- Adrena Ifill: award-winning documentary filmmaker and founder of DoubleBack Productions, LLC
- Troy Woods: owner and principal photographer of Clark Bailey Photography
