About Us
The Academic Support Center (ASC) staff take pride in the support we provide to any student who would like help in developing the tools necessary for success in college. Our goal is to help students achieve their full academic potential.
Topics of interest to students include time management and procrastination, effective writing, textbook reading, note taking, critical thinking, memory skills, and test taking. Graduate students can also receive assistance in their coursework or preparing for comprehensive exams.
ASC counselors are master's level professionals with backgrounds in education and counseling. Writing Lab counselors are graduate students with experience in teaching and tutoring. They also receive ongoing training and supervision in working with students for whom English is not their first language, and with students who have learning disabilities and ADHD.
The ASC offers:

The ASC provides academic support and assistance in arranging for accommodations for students with documented learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Entering freshmen with learning disabilities may be interested in applying for transition support through the Learning Services Program.
