At the AU Child Development Center, we recognize the primary role of parents in children’s education. We strongly encourage parental involvement in the Center’s activities (talking to teachers, visiting the classrooms, meeting their child for lunch, and participating in all Center events whenever possible).

Our children’s safety and well being are our highest priority. The CDC building is secured at all times. Access to the facility always requires the use of individual electronic access cards. Visitors always are pre-announced, and may access the building only by ringing the doorbell. The playground also is fenced in.

Parents are encouraged to call the CDC’s director, administrative assistant, and their child’s teachers whenever they need any clarification or additional information.

PARENT HANDBOOK

CDC’s Parent Handbook provides current information about all operational and policy matters. Consult the handbook for answers to any questions you might have. Updated copies of the current school-year Parent Handbook are distributed to all parents during back-to-school night.

Please make sure to complete, sign and return the Parent Handbook Acknowledgement form to the CDC office no later than one week following the back-to-school night.

For additional information, clarification, or any administrative issues, call the CDC office. You may contact your child’s teachers for all other questions.
