Advancing Business Through Technology

American University's Kogod School of Business provides dedicated technology lab space for students and faculty to actively pursue their business education and research goals. Located on the terrace level of the School's new expansion, three specialized labs are used for classes, conducting active research studies, and completing coursework.

The Financial Services & Information Technology Lab (FSIT) is Kogod's signature lab providing students with a real time Wall Street trading floor experience and access to dozens of specialized databases and other resources critical to students of finance, marketing, management, information technology, and numerous other fields. Executive in Residence Octavian Ionici directs and develops the ever expanding assets of the FSIT to advance the study of Kogod students and faculty.

Additionally, the Behavioral Research Lab and Student Lab are available to the Kogod community for their research pursuits. The Behavioral Research Lab is available by reservation only and is a hub for ongoing research by faculty members across the business school. The student lab offers the convenience of a traditional computer lab steps from the classrooms for easy research and last minute printing needs.
