Interfaith Ambassadors

Interfaith Ambassadors are a cohort of students who work to build interfaith community and strengthen interfaith relationships among the various communities at Kay.

Interfaith Ambassadors are nominated by their respective religious communities and invited to serve by the University Chaplain for a term of one semester or one academic year. During this time, Interfaith Ambassadors commit to represent their religious community in the interfaith community and to help their community to build interfaith relationships and participate in interfaith programming and events.

Among the responsibilities of an Interfaith Ambassador are:

  • Representing their community on the Interfaith Council
  • Participating in the activities of the Interfaith Project
  • Participation in monthly Interfaith Chapel services through presence or other contribution

Interfaith Ambassadors have the option of earning service-learning credit through an academic internship through the Department of Philosophy and Religion. There will also be social events and other programs offered for the cohort.

Questions about the program can be addressed to the Office of the University Chaplain.
