Planning a visit to campus?

Here are the steps you will need to take:

  1. Register for a campus tour with an admissions counselor.

While you are welcome to visit campus on your own schedule, due to staffing and capacity limits in our office, we are not able to accommodate walk-in visitors for information sessions or full guided tours. If you are visiting on your own, we encourage you to take advantage of the campus maps below. Please also be sure to complete the mandatory health form within 24 hours of your visit.

  2. Browse our campus maps and transportation/parking instructions.

Note that parking fees are enforced on campus between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  3. Complete the required Health and Safety Visitor Acknowledgement Form 24 hours prior to arriving on campus.

This form must be completed by all visitors to be cleared for campus access. Failure to complete the form prior to your arrival on campus may result in our rescheduling your visit to a later date.

We know that health and other circumstances can change quickly and ask that you delay your visit should you develop any symptoms or are notified of a positive COVID-19 exposure after submitting the form.

  4. Join a virtual session.

We encourage all prospective applicants join us for an upcoming virtual information session, application workshop, or special admissions event to get to know our team and have your questions answered.

Things to Note Before Visiting:

  • We ask that all visitors register for a visit at least 24-hours in advance.
  • Please bring your own mask! If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. Our mask policy is as follows:
    • All visitors—vaccinated and unvaccinated—are required to wear a mask while inside any American University building.
    • Unvaccinated visitors will be required to wear a mask (over nose and mouth) throughout the entirety of their visit.
    • Unless your tour group is larger than 25, vaccinated visitors are not required to wear masks while outdoors.
  • You and any guest(s) accompanying you to campus, must complete a self-assessment symptom check within 24 hours of your visit. If you have registered for a tour, the form will be emailed prior to your visit. If you are visiting on your own, please complete the form prior to your arrival on campus.
  • If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, please reschedule your visit: fever of 100.4 or above, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, muscle aches, new loss of taste or smell.
