Mission

The Center for Student Belonging (CSB) serves as a principal leader, resource and support in fostering a campus environment where students feel a profound sense of belonging, connection, and the ability to thrive. Through education, outreach, and advocacy, we create opportunities for students to grow at AU and beyond. 

Vision

We envision an American University where students of all backgrounds and lived experiences feel welcomed, valued, seen, appreciated and fully integrated into the community, fostering an environment where they can realize their full potential.

Our support offices include health and wellness centers, international student services, Dean of Students, restorative practices, and AU's food pantry.
