Welcome to the Office of Student Success at American University, where we help students, staff, and faculty access on-campus resources to support students’ needs and goals.
We understand that trying to figure out where to go for assistance at a university can be overwhelming. The Office of Student Success supports student thriving by helping every student take full advantage of AU’s extensive academic resources and individualized services.
As part of the Division for Undergraduate Enrollment Management, the Office for Student Success also coordinates the Student Thriving and Retention (STAR) Team of more than 50 campus leaders across academic units, advising, student affairs, financial aid, and more.

Student Success Support Circles - MGSC 323
Join us for our monthly Student Success Support Circles, an informal space designed to help all students thrive in their college journey. Connect with peers, learn about campus resources, and get the general support you need to succeed. Topics include navigating campus, utilizing timely resources, sharing feedback with administrators, and meeting key milestones. Refreshments will be provided.
Student Success Support Circles will be held on the third floor of the Mary Graydon Student Center, in room 323.
