Kay Spiritual Life Center's Interfaith Chapel Service
During the school year, at noon on the first Wednesday of the month, the Office of the University Chaplain leads an interfaith service of prayer and reflection in the Kay Chapel. It is a space for the university community—students, faculty, and staff—to come together to reflect on events on our campus, in our nation, and in our world.
The services are interfaith but not in a "lowest common denominator" kind of way. They include elements of authentic tradition from our member communities as a way of reflecting from multiple perspectives on the issues we're exploring. A service like this can be a powerful witness for unity in diversity.
Everyone is welcome regardless of religious background or lack thereof.
Fraternity & Sorority Life gives AU students personal, professional, and leadership development.
- 25% of AU students have chosen to join one of the 29 values-based social sororities and fraternities supported by the Interfraternity Council, Inter-collective Greek Collective, and Panhellenic Council.
- Greeks hold a higher GPA than the campus average, raised $125,000 and contributed 8,000 service hours to over 70 community organizations this year.
- With 8 culturally affiliated organizations and 5 Jewish-heritage groups, there’s a place for anyone to find your environment to thrive.

CDI serves as a resource on issues of equity through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Academic Support
You are well prepared for college, but you may need a little support along the way. The Academic Support & Access Center assists students with such tasks as time management to test taking to reading and writing. For individuals with disabilities, the center facilitates equal accessibility to university programs and services.

ISSS welcomes more than 1,000 students and scholars from 140+ countries.

Wellness
The Health Promotion and Advocacy Center offers a safe, nondiscriminatory environment, resources, and programs that promote a positive, healthy lifestyle and discourage risky behaviors.
The Counseling Center provides free and confidential services, including individual consultations, group therapy, self-help support, and referrals.
The Student Health Center provides medical and preventive services, including routine immunizations, screenings, and coordinated care for chronic conditions.
Safety
Public Safety provides diverse security-related services, including escorts, safe rides, surveillance, self-defense classes, and text alerts, plus ID cards, parking permits, bicycle registration, and more.
AU Alerts uses text and voice applications to notify the campus community in case of an emergency. All members are automatically enrolled upon admittance or hire.
RAVE Guardian app links to Public Safety and offers such safety features as a panic button, tip texting, and personal guardians.

DC serves as a laboratory of learning for students.
AU’s on-campus Starbucks is a convenient spot for on-the-go students.
Terrace Dining Room, affectionately known as TDR, provides a variety of options in a comfortable setting. Students can watch the preparation of their made-to-order dish or try out entrées featuring local and sustainable ingredients, international cuisines, or dishes reminiscent of home.
Through opportunities in living learning communities, support from professional and student staff, and opportunities to impact one’s own community, the residence halls are truly a home away from home.
Students volunteer in the city through various service learning programs.
