Recreation is for everyone, and RecFit is here to inspire healthy & active lifestyles for all. Part of AU’s Department of Athletics and Recreation, RecFit provides the fitness facilities and services across campus.

Our mission is to provide safe, clean, inclusive facilities and services for the entire American University community. Through intramural programs, club sports, and a variety of fitness services, we help the AU community develop healthy habits, personal fitness, and sportsmanship.

All students interested in using RecFit facilities or participating in programming like Intramurals, must complete a registration form prior to first visit.

With over 25 club sports teams to choose from, students can stay competitive in their favorite sports.

Group Exercise

Group Exercise is a great way for students to stay active throughout the week. Participants can find a variety of choices like Zumba, cycling, or yoga.
